Author Guidelines

Scope and Aims

J Pharm Cel: Celebes Journal of Pharmacy is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research articles, review papers, and case studies in pharmacy and related fields. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Pharmacology & Toxicology

• Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Drug Development

• Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacy Practice

• Pharmaceutical Biotechnology & Nanomedicine

• Pharmacognosy & Natural Products

• Social Pharmacy & Healthcare Administration

• Microbiology

Article Types

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

• Original Research Articles – Novel experimental or clinical findings

• Review Articles – Systematic or comprehensive literature reviews

• Short Communications – Brief but impactful findings

• Case Reports – Reports of unique or rare clinical/pharmacy cases

• Letters to the Editor – Comments or discussions on previously published articles

Manuscript Structure

Original Research Articles

Must include:

• Title – Concise and informative (≤15 words)

• Authors & Affiliations – Full names, institutions, and corresponding author’s email

• Abstract – Maximum 250 words, structured into: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion

• Keywords – 4–6 terms (preferably MeSH terms)

• Introduction – Background, research objectives, hypothesis

• Methods – Study design, materials, procedures, statistical analysis

• Results – Clear data presentation with tables/figures as needed

• Discussion – Interpretation and comparison with existing literature

• Conclusion – Summary of findings and implications

• Acknowledgments – Funding/support (if applicable)

• References – Vancouver style (numbered)

Review Articles

• Should be systematic or critical reviews (not descriptive summaries)

• Suggested structure: Abstract, Introduction, Search Methodology, Discussion, Conclusion

Case Reports

• Focus on rare, unique, or therapeutically challenging cases

• Structure: Abstract, Introduction, Case Description, Discussion, Conclusion

Formatting Requirements

• Language: English (British or American; consistent) or Bahasa Indonesia

• Font: Times New Roman, 11 pt, 1.0 line spacing

• Length:

  • Original Research: ≤5,000 words

  • Review Articles: ≤7,000 words

  • Short Communications: ≤2,000 words

Tables and Figures

• Must be numbered (e.g., Table 1. Sample Characteristics)

• Images should be high-resolution (TIFF or JPEG format, ≥300 dpi)

References – Vancouver Style

Use numbered citations (e.g., [1], [2–4]) in order of appearance.

Publication Ethics

• Plagiarism: Maximum 20% similarity (checked via Turnitin)

• Conflict of Interest: Must be clearly declared

• Ethical Approval: Required for all studies involving humans or animals (e.g., Ethics No. XXX/EC/2023)
